It’s decision time. The championship goes to the last round, and there is only one point between Timmy Hansen and Andreas Bakkerud with Kevin Hansen waiting for both of them to take out each other. This is not one you want to miss.
After a massive comeback in France and Latvia, Timmy Hansen may have the upper hand in the title race. He’s no stranger to the podium in Cape Town either, having finished second here in 2017. Bakkerud also always finished high in the qualifying here, but never got to the final. Kevin Hansen actually only have stronger results than Bakkerud here in South Africa. Considering that he’s taken a step up this season, things are all but decided.
In our Fantasy Game, TurboThomi looks set for his second championship in a row!
The track in South Africa is based on an existing racetrack, is flat and with several long sweeping corner. Especially the first corner has several possible lines, which makes for some wonderful round-the-outside action. The track was so far dominated by Johan Kristoffersson, but it has only been used in the past two years as well. The lap record is held by Timmy Hansen though.
The entry list doesn’t hold that many surprises, apart from the lack of a Rokas Baciuska. Matvey Furazhkin continues instead of Kevin Abbring in the ESMotorsport Skoda as he will gather experience for next year. Jere Kalliokoski makes his second start in the STARD Fiesta and could very well make it into the semifinals here. Other than that we only see the regular entries here.
In order to enter Fantasy WorldRX, you must pick six drivers from the entry list below. You can only pick one driver from each team.
