The entry lists are full. The spectator stands will be full. This classic event in Loheac, France is one you don’t want to miss.

Last time out in Canada Johan Kristoffersson won (again!), with Timmy Hansen and Sebastien Loeb following him onto the podium. While the World Champion extended his overall lead in the championship, the fight for second is tighter than ever between the rest of the manufacturer drivers.

Our fantasy game also got a bit tighter after Canada, as TurboThomi picked up a win and I also made the gap up to GiuRX smaller. The next couple of rounds will play a big part due to the inclusion of EuroRX, which normally means higher scores but also bigger gambles.

Loheac is one of the ever-present tracks on the WorldRX calendar, and has proven itself as a favourite from the perspective of both the drivers and the fans. The track is relatively flat, with a hight amount of grip and both tight and long sweeping corners. The fine gravel surface here gives a high amount of grip in dry conditions, but turns very slippery when it’s wet.

TRACK DETAILS:

1088m
Tarmac/Gravel: 33% / 66%

Previous Winners: Johan Kristoffersson (2017, 2016), Timmy Hansen (2015), Petter Solberg (2014)

This event is normally one where the championship contenders do well, and one would think that Peugeot would like to steal a win from VW and Johan Kristoffersson at their home event. There are also a number of wildcard drivers entering here, perhaps with Davy Jeanney in a Pailler Peugeot as the most notable. Jeanney won 2 events with Peugeot before Loeb came around, but never managed to find another full-time seat. Tommy Rustad and his sponsors weren’t satisfied with their result in Hell, and decided to do one last round before Tommy turns 50 the monday after the event. Other returning drivers include Timo Scheider in Münnich Motorsport and Topi Heikkinen and Andrew Jordan in MJP Motorsport. Add a bunch of French locals to fill up the lists in both WorldRX and EuroRX, and we’re set for a huge event!

Oh wait. Yesterday the news that Jerome Grosset-Janis is leaving the GCK team also dropped like a bomb. Who’s replacing him? Liam Doran. A driver that is known for a very aggressive driving style, and has been out of the sport for two years due to being fired and banned after other activities. I’m not really sure what to make of that...

In order to enter Fantasy WorldRX, post your top 6 drivers in the comments section. You may only pick one driver from each team, but you may mix WorldRX and EuroRX as you want. All the drivers available to pick is listed below, and the deadline is the start of Q1 saturday morning European time.
