The Canadian Rally Championship (CRC) kicks off 2015 with the Rally Perce Neige in Maniwaki, Quebec on Feb 6,7! Antoine L'Estage hope start the year off with his first defence of the championship and be on his way to winning his 8th Canadian Championship. The rally in Maniwaki will be the 50th anniversary of the event and it should be a good one!

Maniwaki, QB is about 135km north of the Canadian capital of Ottawa. The course is 16 stages spread out over 420km of logging and local roads. This is the oldest race still on the Canadian rally calender. Snow is in the forecast leading up to the race and extreme cold temperatures mean it will likely be a icy race to the finish! A concert by Jonas and the Massive Attraction and fireworks show will kick off the weekend with the stages starting Saturday morning.
The field includes last years champion L'Estage in a new 2015 WRX STI (similar to pictured below) after signing on with Subaru Canada and Yokohama. 3-time Canadian champ and last years Co-Driver of the Year Alan Ockwell will be riding shotgun for L'Estage this year. L'Estage will be the one the rest of the 25 drivers will be chasing out of the gate with Alexander Béland/Lyne Murphy second in the order hoping to improve on their 3rd place 2014 finish. Familiar face to Canadian rally fans, Sylvain Erickson, will be racing a Hyundai Accent with his daughter Chloé, and they are starting third. The rest of the racers are a mix of WRX's and Lancers hoping to score an upset. There are only two 2WD entries on the start list, one a Gulf and the other a Civic, which should be fun to watch on the icy surface!

There is currently no way to watch the stages live but I will update if I find any, for now enjoy the highlights from last year's Rallye Perce Neige by CRC TV.
