You may have read about me driving the Combo Car at last year’s Black River Stages rally in upstate New York. It’s running again in two weeks, September 19-20, and we’re looking for volunteers to help out. No experience necessary. Most jobs involve blocking a cross street on one of the stages, or keeping spectators out of harm’s way. It’s the best seat in the house for spectating, since you’ll be stationed in places spectators generally don’t go. Free camping is available, and a couple of meals a day will be provided. I’ll be there driving car 0, the course opening car. I may even check you in at worker registration.

If you’re a rally fan, volunteering is the best way to get close to the action, get involved, and help make the event happen. You can sign up for Black River Stages or any other NASA Rallysport event at the NASA Rallysport web site.
